1941 Founded as Toyo Kanetsu Kogyo K.K.
Began to manufacture and sell industrial furnaces
1950 Began to manufacture fully welded storage tanks
1955 Opened Yokohama Conveyor Factory and began to manufacture and sell "Toyo Conveyors"
1958 Recognized as Japan's first API (American Petroleum Institute) certificed factory
1969 Changed the company name to Toyo Kanetsu K.K.
1970 Listed on 1st Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange
1971 Opened Chiba Plant for fabrication of tank materials with high production capability
1972 Advanced into the field of cryogenic storage tank
1973 Delivered Baggage Handling System to New Tokyo International Airport (Narita Airport)
1974 Established PT Toyo Kanetsu Indonesia as a joint venture company
1978 Completed construction of four units of 128,000m3 above ground double wall LNG Storage Tanks in Arun, Indonesia
PT Toyo Kanetsu Indonesia opened Batam Plant at Batam Island, Indonesia
1981 Developed and began to sell Digital Picking System as first introduction in Japan
1983 Completed construction of four units of Earth Embankment LNG Storage Tanks in Sarawak, Malaysia
1991 Advanced aggressively into the field of Building Construction Business
1992 Established Toyo Kanetsu (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd. as a joint venture company
Delivered Baggage Handling System to Terminal 2 at New Tokyo International Airport (Narita Airport)
1994 Obtained ISO 9001 certification for the first time in Japan as storage tank manufacture
1998 Completed one of the world's largest Baggage Handling System at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia

2008 PT Toyo Kanetsu Indonesia obtained JAPEIC certification for welding management process under Japanese Electricity Business Act Concluded “Golden Partner Contract”with Reva Systems Ltd.(now Odin Ltd.), a US company
Formed a business tie-up for the sales of voice-recognition system with C-Net Corporation
2010 PT Toyo Kanetsu Indonesia expanded Batam Plant Developed and delivered "Multishuttle", an automatic warehouse system hacing four functions of storage, picking, replenishment and sorting
2011 Completed one unit of 160,000m3 Full Containment Pre-stressed Concrete Wall Above Ground LNG Storage Tank in Okayama, Japan
Delivered to an electronics components manufacturer the system which put together parts supply all over Japan and realized just-in-time delivery
2012 Obtained ISO 14001 Certification Delivered Multi-shuttle automatic storage and retrieval system to a company servicing collection and delivery of money
2013 Received a joint award of the NIKKAN KOGYO SHIMBUN, LTD. Grand Awards, together with Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. and Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation, for achieving practical application of 7% Nickel -TMCP steel plate for Above Ground LNG Storage Tanks
2014 Established Toyo Kanetsu Builtec K.K. to reorganize Building Construction Business Delivered BHS(Baggage Handling System) for expansion of international flights at Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport)
Completed one unit of 170,000m3 Full Containment Pre-stressed Concrete Wall Above Ground LNG Storage Tank in Sulawesi, Indonesia
2015 Completed one unit of 120,000m3 Full Containment Pre-stressed Concrete Wall Above Ground LNG Storage Tank in Brunei
Completed one unit of world's largest 230,000m3 Full Containment Pre-stressed Concrete Wall Above Ground LNG Storage Tank, in Osaka, Japan
Began joint development efforts together with the Tokyo Institute of Technology with the goal of constructing large-scale liquid hydrogen tanks
